Breast Reconstruction Case 4

Gender
Female

Description

Having small breasts does not mean you’re protected from breast cancer.

This young mother had tuberous breasts and was unfortunately diagnosed with breast cancer. During her reconstruction, we not only focused on restoring volume but also addressed the underlying tuberous shape. She underwent a two stages reconstruction. We first placed tissues expanders at the time of the nipple sparing mastectomies and then during a second surgery we placed her definitive silicone implants. Using a carefully designed “question mark” incision pattern, we released the constricted breast tissue and reshaped the lower pole before placing silicone implants.

The result is a soft, natural contour that restores both form and confidence after cancer. Reconstruction is never just about replacing what was lost — it’s about rebuilding in a way that honors the whole patient.
